Structure of Metal Hose

Metal hose is a high-quality flexible pipeline in modern industrial pipelines. Let’s take a look at the structure of the stainless steel flexible hose.

It is mainly composed of bellows, net sleeves, and joints. Its inner tube is a thin-walled stainless steel corrugated tube with a spiral or annular wave shape, and the outer mesh sleeve of the corrugated tube is woven by stainless steel wire or steel belt according to certain parameters. The joints or flanges at both ends of the hose are matched with the joints or flanges of the customer’s pipeline.

The mesh sleeve is the main pressure-bearing part of the hose installed in the pressure pipeline, and it also acts as a sheath for the corrugated pipe. According to the pressure in the pipeline and the application site, one or more layers of stainless steel wire or steel belt can be selected. For braiding, the pressure range of the Comflex hose is generally PN0.6-32.0Mpa. The highest is 42.0MPa.

Since the main parts of the hose are made of austenitic stainless steel, the hose’s excellent temperature resistance and corrosion resistance are guaranteed. The hose’s working temperature range is extremely wide, ranging from -196 to 600 degrees. The hose used The corrosion resistance of the hose can be ensured by selecting the applicable stainless steel grade according to the corrosiveness of the medium passing through the pipeline.

The scope of application of the hose: a fully flexible delivery pipe is required to prevent vibration in the piping. It is suitable for steam, gas, air, heavy oil, petroleum, chemical drugs, etc.
